In close collaboration with ETH Zürich, de Cavis conducts research in the area of solid-coated microcapsules for encapsulation and release applications. Such solid-coated microcapsules can be fabricated from various raw materials and their size and permeability can be adjusted according to your needs.

Micro-encapsulation holds the potential to overcome a number of challenges in technology ranging from targeted administration of chemicals to screening active agents from environmental influence. Due to their excellent chemical and temperature resistance, inorganic solid-coated microcapsules are in several ways advantegeous over polymer and surfactant based systems.
